The Prophet S.A.W has given an example of minor sins when he said: "Minor sins are like a group of people who came to an open space of land. When it was time for preparing their for, everyone of the group went to gather firewood. One of them would bring one stick and another one would bring two sticks until they gathered a great quantity of firewood. Then they kindled a fire and boiled their food. Similarly, a man may gather minor sins until they destroy him unless Allah forgives them. Avoid minor sins for Allah will certainly punish you for them.
